“Educators see the impact that trauma has on children and youth every day. Understanding how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) affect students’ learning and behavior will help educators improve health and academic outcomes for students. To further our understanding of ACEs on student learning, KPBSD is inviting Dr. Linda Chamberlain, an expert on ACEs, brain development and trauma to conduct a series of ACEs training and discussions for our educators and community partners. Our goal is to build school cultures where students who are struggling or who are in emotional and/or social distress have access to adults in their lives who have the skills and resources to help them.”
