“The PS 232 student-led mindfulness and yoga project integrates social and emotional learning, student voice and student leadership. With the support of this grant, our 7th and 8th grade student leaders will participate in professional mindfulness and yoga training. Then these middle school student leaders will work cooperatively to select, develop and implement mindfulness and yoga activities for all K-8 students at our school. The overarching goal of this project is for all students, student leaders and student learners, to learn skills and strategies to improve their mindfulness and to create a mind-body connection through yoga.”
