“The Say Her Name Project will allow Black young women to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline by exploring and analyzing issues in the Black girl community and how they can address these vital needs. It is a cumulative project over six schools; two high schools and their four feeder pattern middle schools. Our young women will teach the world to Say Her Name by showing the power and promise of Black girls solving their own community problems. Twenty-five girls at each of the schools will move through the stages of awareness, efficacy, empowerment, leadership, and a call to action with mentoring groups, speakers, and consultants.”
