The Summer Cohort Learning Series (SLS) was a 6-week cohort workshop that will provide participants with opportunities to experience autonomy, mastery, and purpose beyond their daily tasks led by Dr. Adrienne Kennedy of Transforming Education. The SLS centered participants' experiences as educators and provided space for collaboration, sharing, and practice. The overarching focus was on practical social and emotional learning strategies and practices to help educators model and practice new ideas to address both students' and adults' learning needs in light of COVID-19. Topics discussed during the series included relationship-building, virtual SEL, culturally responsive SEL, trauma-informed and healing-centered practices, and restorative practices.
