“The Rainbow Ribbon Schools program is a collaboration of students, staff, parents, and community who will create a set of standards that will demonstrate and encourage the inclusivity and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community within schools, the curriculum, and teaching practices. Part of accomplishing this will be to create Rainbow Liaisons at each school in every level, hold quarterly meetings to introduce and share information for liaisons to disseminate in their own schools, provide materials for educators, update the curriculum, and design and implement the Rainbow Ribbon Recognition award which can be earned by each school.”
