“Our 31 elementary schools will participate in a yearlong project of engaging with common monthly SEL themes. These themes will be aligned with culturally relevant books, teaching guides, project ideas and family engagement tools that will encourage the integration of SEL into multiple aspects of school life. The intended outcome is a universal understanding of each SEL theme by staff and students and a greater sense of community effort in SEL instruction.”
