“APS teachers will develop an arts curriculum that infuses SEL practices into the process of art and music-making. The curriculum will feature products in both art and music that are action-oriented, have high-level displays of artistic expression, and are connected to our civic dispositions (which align with SEL outcomes). This curriculum redesign will ensure that students annually participate in active civic and social arts projects that highlight the voices of our youngest learners and connect them to larger communities. The question we ask is: what if our students could learn how to become agents of growth and change in their own lives?”
