“EQ Ambassadors at John F. Kennedy High School will work in conjunction with staff members to develop a sustaining SEL program on the campus to support the needs of all students. Support from this grant would allow trainings for student leaders to advocate for their peers in addition to professional development for staff to truly consider how their classrooms will support both the intelligence and emotional quotients of their students. The support would also provide a system of resources in place to help a student in crisis. Moreover, it helps entering Freshmen feel that they are stakeholder on this campus and for the Seniors, that they can carry that work beyond high school.”
