SEL Awardee

“To strengthen both our students' and staff's social and emotional skill sets, LSC intends to target students across the district to participate in a yearlong self-journey that culminates in a summer camp. The staff will work together in professional learning communities to develop their trauma-invested mindsets and SEL fluency, and the students will build a genuine relationship with a teacher and peers over the course of a year in an after-school circle setting. We expect that this experience will qualitatively increase our students' and staff's sense of self-worth and connection to school and quantitatively improve their discipline records and academics.”
