Practice Makes Perfect
The SEL Blog
Based in Philadelphia’s Chinatown, FACTS is a multi-racial/multi-ethnic K-8 school, welcoming the knowledge and traditions of families into our school. Folk arts are a powerful means of teaching students SEL skills. We will establish (and strengthen already-existing) school-wide mindfulness practices that draw on and honor diverse cultural ways of knowing and doing. We measure students' success with knowing when to apply SEL habits and skills and then independently applying them.
