Practice Makes Perfect
The SEL Blog
The "Achieving Equity Through Restorative Practices" initiative will build a sense of community, interdependence, love, and joy on our campuses, ensuring a post-pandemic return to a radically human, restorative school culture. We will develop student and staff restorative practice (RP) skills, and engage parents with RP workshops to make RP integral to our program and reduce disproportionate disciplinary actions. We are developing an integrated student outcome dashboard - correlating SEL, sense of belonging, school climate, and academic achievement data - to prove the power of a restorative community. We will use the data to disseminate our learning nationally and sustain our success.
