Mountain Empire Unified School District
Pine Valley, CA
“The We Hear YOUth campaign will enhance the accessibility of our district-wide social-emotional supports, with emphasis on engaging, empowering and connecting our students who present with indicators of low school connectedness. In partnership with Mountain Empire Unified School District schools and Mending Matters, a mental health organization, we will create a leadership pipeline by supporting a cohort of middle and high school students. Students who participate will have access to workshops, restorative programs, and therapeutic services at no cost. This cohort will culminate in a student-led Unity Day (adapted for virtual participation) that encourages peer support and engagement in SEL and social justice topics.”
