“We started this year with a bi-weekly 'SEL learning block’ for students to circle and learn. Our project supports this new step for our district and builds student and staff SEL capacity. We will be inviting the program Challenge Day to facilitate flagship SEL experiences to build baseline SEL skills for students and SEL knowledge for staff. This project will also involve designing experiential SEL-encounters for each grade level that support the student's holistic development. This may involve camp-outs, ropes course, or leadership opportunities. Much of this grant work will involve SEL programming innovation for future years and student cohorts.”
