Miguel Contreras Learning Complex, Los Angeles Unified School District
Los Angeles, CA
“The four schools of the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex in Los Angeles will partner with the I Learn America organization to create safe spaces for our immigrant youth, both within ELD classes and through our campus Dream Center. Our goal is to use youth-led, SEL-infused storytelling practices to empower student leaders to impact the school community and beyond. Students will develop and implement community-building art projects and transform their immigration narratives into tools for civic engagement, social justice and educational equity.”
