“This grant project focuses on supporting the social and emotional needs of our students. Our students have often been pushed out of the traditional school system and have encountered many difficult situations in their lives. In order for them to be successful, it is imperative that we focus on their social and emotional needs and provide them the tools and support necessary to perfect these skills. The mission of Latina Leadership Circles is to empower Latina youth to recognize their personal worth, strengthen their leadership abilities and self-confidence, and help drive them to make change in their communities and beyond.”
