“This project will explore the impact that the development of a Cross Age Peer Mentoring program would have at Abington School District. The Cross Age Peer Mentoring program would be based on district needs as outlined in the District Equity Committee Charge and goals outlined by the Superintendent's Committee for Equity. The program, CAMP Abington, would be established by a team of teachers and assisted by the District Equity Officer. The team will analyze how a cross-age peer mentoring program can address and improve students' sense of belonging within multiple (including Title I) schools. Baseline data was secured through the Panoramaed Sense of Belonging Survey of elementary and high school students this school year. CAMP Abington would be a data-driven cross age peer mentoring program that, if successful, would seek to expand across all district elementary schools and secondary schools.”
