“This award will allow us, as a school community, to elevate our social-emotional intelligence and expand our existing efforts beyond the classroom to include parents and students in individual capacities. We intend to expand our reach to include parents, caregivers and families. Middle School students will be empowered in new SEL initiatives, complementing our current strategies, to define and enhance the school climate and extend social and emotional learning beyond the school. We seek to create a sustainable framework that serves the whole student and the whole family by extending our reach beyond the campus.”
