“In SY 2019-2020, Capstone teachers recognized a need to raise awareness around mental health for students and developed a project so that students could answer the question: What promotes the mental health of immigrant adolescents? This grant will allow us to create more opportunities for students to engage with local civic, educational and cultural organizations as part of their learning. We will use this grant to fund three expansion areas: Capstone Day, allowing students to share their project with the community; several community field trips; and educational materials that will allow us to expand our learning on immigrant mental health.”
