Redesign Schools Louisiana- Recovery School District
Baton Rouge, LA
“Our project develops the adult capacity to build trusting connections with students and families by enhancing teacher SEL skills, shifting mindsets and implementing an SEL block into the regular school day schedule. We endeavor to strengthen the capacity of staff to create equitable learning environments through content that includes self-regulation and mindfulness. An SEL Leader will guide the school community in providing support for teachers and facilitating opportunities for leadership and voice for students. This SEL project brings to fruition a sense of belonging, collaboration and success for children, families and staff members that resonates with our mission and vision.”
