“Upstream Connections (UC) is a program designed to motivate and engage at-risk students in our community. UC will ensure students serving community probation terms find and build upon their strengths, while at the same time expanding their system of support by identifying opportunities and interventions that can best help accelerate their personal growth and positive behaviors. Through a collaborative goal-setting process, Upstream Connections will provide our neediest students additional interventions and supports in personalized, creative ways that strengthen collaboration with the Department of Juvenile Justice, their school, community and family, but most importantly, will acknowledge student voice and choice throughout the process.”
