“With funding from the NoVo foundation, we can’t wait to not only strengthen the SEL course we piloted last year, but to also extend our reach to conduct research into best practices for SEL curriculum, create a research-based “SEL toolkit” of simple but powerful strategies, create digital modules training student SEL leaders (SELLs) in these strategies, and host remote retreats and trainings for SELLs to master key SEL practices. These efforts will develop students who adapt and adopt SEL practices to best fit their own needs and who know how to invite peers, families and staff into these same practices.”
