“The SELL (Social-Emotional Learning Leadership) Crew Project is a three-component SEL initiative that places student leaders with exemplary social and emotional skills at the heart of the initiative. A select group of upperclassmen serve as major players in creating, developing and carrying out each level of the project. Student services staff work with Crew leaders to provide the direction, training and support to implement one piece of the district’s overall SEL curriculum. The three components of the project include: 1. Newcomer Transition (freshmen/new students), 2. Student-led SEL Curriculum Partnership (with Student Services staff), and 3. Mentoring programs (all district levels).”
