“Young Elementary and Global Game Changers (GCC) collaborate to empower students through incorporating GGC's SEL, superhero-themed, philanthropy-focused, project-based learning curriculum into both in-school coursework and out-of-school time. Young uses GGC curriculum in-school to fulfill the district-required racial equity plan. GGC curriculum is based on the Superpower Equation: MY TALENT + MY HEART = MY SUPERPOWER, which allows students to recognize their strengths (talents), choose a charitable cause they identify with (heart), and create a unique service project to benefit their community, thus becoming a Superhero in their own eyes and in the eyes of their peers, teachers, and community.”
