The SEL Blog
This grant project will include promoting improved self-concept for students who are blind and visually impaired in Honolulu through improved technology skills and mentorship from other blind individuals. Since blindness is a low incidence disability, students who are blind have zero to minimal contact with others who are also blind. This grant will allow older students to mentor younger students and all students will have blind mentors from the community. Accessible technology skills will need to be addressed and improved for students to connect consistently via online community platforms.
