The SEL Blog
ALIENTO and ECFI are coming together for it’s second year to bring Rising Hope Through Aliento Project to transform trauma into hope and action with students from mixed immigration status and English Language Learners. Our model is through art-making and leadership workshops where students have an opportunity to increase their sense of agency and articulate how their emotions impact their environment. Students, parents, teachers and community leaders are co-creating spaces of healing while learning SEL and Culturally Competent strategies and putting them into action.
