The SEL Blog
Participants in VesSEL will have the opportunity to take on different tasks throughout the school to help promote a more accepting, safe atmosphere for all students to flourish. For example, students will create bulletin boards, serve as peer mentors, plan a kindness spirit week, lead mindful moments on the morning announcements and much more. The biggest hope for VesSEL is that the students, specifically enrolled in the Sterling Program who experience housing inequities amongst other adversity, will feel more connected to those enrolled in the Charles Townes Center. Promoting this connection will unify Sterling School and allow all students to flourish academically, socially and emotionally at our school.
