Practice Makes Perfect
The SEL Blog
This world is ever-changing, and our young ladies have to be prepared!! The Tiger Lily program was created to fill a gap in the education of our young women at Central Middle School. We saw a need to support growth not only academically but emotionally and socially as well and inspire them to develop their inner strength and independence. The goal is to guide the girls in building positive relationships with mentors, community members, and peers and offer supportive experiences in whatever future path they choose.
We have been able to provide these young inspired women with local community experiences. With grant funding, we would like to expand those opportunities far beyond what we have in the past: Universities, museums, parks, and more. Built within the experiences are self-confidence, peer relationships, communication skills, and self esteem. We have seen the positive impact our program provides these young women and look forward to moving on to bigger things.
