The SEL Blog
This project will expand the Valores program—a comprehensive initiative aimed at building positive and resilient student behaviors. Valores is the brainchild of counselor Juan Reyes who saw a need to create a more culturally responsive approach to school behavior initiatives. In January 2020, the team began piloting the parent component of Valores. Two months later, the COVID-19 outbreak shut the school down. Given our current circumstances, this project will create a virtual, in-home component to the Valores curriculum and groups for parents and students.
