Practice Makes Perfect
The SEL Blog
We created an Explorer's Club at International High School to introduce recent immigrant students to the wonders of NYC. The grant will be used to support a spin-off to this club ... an Explorer's Bike Club. Students will experience the sights, energy and diversity of NYC on wheels. In addition, students will learn bike maintenance and safety. Students will work together to plan bike routes and host community events to promote biking and teach basic repair. We are looking forward to watching students’ confidence as well as their sense of belonging and freedom soar.
